Marriage: This is a very interseting entry in our family history. Here are the records of this marriage which are located not only in the below mentioned counties, but also in the library of genelogy kept by the mormon church. Notice the William Jesse Cowan is spelled with an "a" in his last name. Then look at his wife's last name spelled Cowin with an "i". What is interesting here is the childrens last names. Notice that they do not continue the "a" in the last name but it is now changed to the mothers spelling with an "i".
Marriage: Hence grandmom Irene Cowin did not carry the original last name of her grandfather.
